LUCIE next to FLAPPER at their final destination in Nynashamn
LUCIE has finally arrived in Nynashamn where she will compete in the European 6 Metre Championship in two weeks. After she was released from customs in Gothenburg early last week LUCIE was picked up by a boat transport company and loaded onto a flat bed trailer. Our US trailer and boats are too heavy and oversized for being towed over Swedish roads.
So after another 300 miles from the Swedish west Coast to Nynashamn on the east cost (30 miles south of Stockholm) LUCIE is now at her final destination and is taking a few days rest. Ground Crew will arrive in Nynashamn in a week from now and start unpacking her, dressing the spars, implementing the last few changes and then launch her into the waters of the Baltic Sea.
